Futsal For Fund @ Subang Grand

Subang Grand - 7/2/09. Youth Mercy together with Sports Planet Subang Grand had organised a fund rising futsal tournament. Estimated about 20 + teams participated for the tournament. The profit of the tournament will be given to Pusat Nur Hikmah in Kajang, Selangor. Champion and RM 1200.00 cash prize went to Ampang Kosas and runner up (RM 800.00) went to local team from subang Red Galaticos (RG) and Third (RM500.00) went to Cyberlink College. Pusat Nur Hikmah, Badan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim, is a home for orphans and single mothers in Kajang. It was established in January 2005. Currently the home houses 50 orphans and provides for more than 20 single mothers. The basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and schooling are provided. However, the living conditions for the children are far from conducive. Zinc roofs, broken doors and 50 growing children are all cramped in an inadequate space. Some of them are even sleeping in the storage rooms.

Those who are in heart to support us to help the orphanage in Rumah Nur Hikmah,

WELCOME TO 'FAMILY AND YOUTH CARNIVAL '09'

Family and Youth Carnival '09 is a non-profit carnival organized by Young Mercy 1 of Cyberjaya University of Medical Sciences. Young Mercy is affiliated with one of Malaysia's top NGO, Mercy Malaysia.

The ‘Family and Youth Carnival’ is a fund raising project organized by Young Mercy 1 of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS). Our aim is to raise enough funds to help refurnish the orphanage and help make the home more favourable to live in. We hope that this will help boost the self-esteem of the orphans and hopefully provide a better future for them.

On the day of the event, we will be having a charity Jogathon,Basic Health Screening, Basic Life Support demonstration, Futsal 1 versus 1 competition, Blood Donation, booth for sales, and a few performances.

With the raised funds, Young Mercy 1 hopes to ease the burden of the orphans in the home and try to ensure a more stable future for them in terms of health and education. Even the slightest contribution can make a difference to the lives of those in need.

This would be our second programme under the "health and sports carnival" project. The first being a charity futsal tournament, 'Futsal for Fund', on the 7th of February 2009.
